How We Started

GeoGene was founded in 2003 after we became fascinated by the thought that scientists could use a person’s DNA to trace their ancestral lineages back more than 100,000 years. Our mission is to make this cutting-edge technology available to everyone.

Who We Are

Zeena Eate - President
Zeena has been interested in genealogy since childhood. She set up GeoGene to offer everybody the exciting opportunity to discover their own ancient ancestors.

Krishna Veeramah BSc (Hons), MSc - Scientific Director
Krishna is currently completing his PhD at the Department of Anthropology and of Biology at University College London.

Danny White, BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD
Danny has a BSc (Hons) in Zoology, an MSc in population and quantitative genetics and has recently completed his PhD focusing on the genetic diversity harboured within Latin America.

Chris Eglington - ACMA, MBA - Business Manager
Chris previously worked as a Management Consultant for Investment Banks in the City of London.
