GeoGene was started by Zeena Eate in 2003 and was formally launched in 2004. She became fascinated by genetic ancestry research after hearing how scientists were now able to use a person’s DNA to trace ancestral lineages
back more than 100,000 years. GeoGene’s aim is to make this
cutting-edge technology available to everyone, offering anybody
the opportunity to discover his or her own prehistoric heritage.
